Good news! By a vote of 93-7, the chamber passed a bipartisan, bicameral compromise to provide two-thirds of FY19 funding for government programs, including level funding for falls prevention and chronic disease self-management education. The House is expected to pass the legislation next week, and if signed by the President by Oct. 1, it will be the first time in over two decades that the Administration for Community Living and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) funding has been finalized at the start of the new fiscal year.
